25mm filter and chatter
« on: June 09, 2016, 08:45:14 pm »
I hope someone can help, I picked up my Evo Abarth today and had a look at the engine. I've seen a few videos where someone has put a solid bar on the turbo re-circ pipe and a filter on the connector but mine doesn't have those pipes. Am I being stupid or was that an older model?

I'm after a bit more of a hiss when changing gear.

Open up the air box.. Take out all of the trumpets in the top and bottom and also take off the pipe that sits near the radiator on the outside of the air box. Put performance panel filter in and out all back together and you will have chatter

Hi, as above ;-) or go down the induction kit route I stayed with trumpet out and a BMC filter best of both imo

I've added the BMC panel filter, when you say the one that sits near the radiator is that the part that kind of looks like a hoover attachment I.e. Thin edged?

Yea comes out bottom of air box and it's mouth is up near the top of the engine bay at front. Basically it's the intake trumpet. I replaced that with another pipe that went down behind headlight and picked up cool air from down near wheel arch
