2nd dealer vist, 2nd DRL bulb
« on: August 08, 2014, 07:40:39 pm »
The old drl warning light had returned recently so the car went back to the dealer today. They said the other bulb was faulty too so replaced it. I hope thats fixed it but im very skeptical. I think its more likely a software error as the warning light only started coming on after the dealer downloaded an update. If the bulbs were faulty why didnt the warning light start coming on from new? I also parked the car up Wednesday night with no warning light showing. Thursday morning I started the car up and the warning light immediately returned. The car hadn't been touched or anything so why did it start again? Unless this is a result of the car being stored since September I doubt the bulbs were faulty. The annoying thing is I cant stand drl's and have them turned off anyway so I dont care if they dont work. Its just the annoying warning light that keeps flashing.

Well really annoyed now. Drove back from the dealers with the lights on with no warning lights. Parked the car up and went back out a few hours later. Turned the lights on and bam, warning light right there again. I know modern cars are complicated. And compared to what problems other owners have had its nothing. But I do feel that Autoworld are fobbing me off. All they seem interested in is to read the error codes and just fix whatever it says. Yet its obvious that its more than just a dodgy bulb. They have had the car all day and just changed one bulb. Yet if they did a little more investigation they would find that the warning light is still coming on. Just like I found out a few hours later. If they put a bit more effort into fixing the car they might get to the bottom of whats really wrong with it. :thumbd:
