Abarth Punto Evo Mudflpas ...Help !
« on: November 10, 2010, 09:20:15 pm »
Hi to you all
I have an Abarth Punto Evo on the way and was hoping one of the "team" could help me understand if there are mudflaps available for protecting the lower bodywork on my black beauty ?
Thanks in advance ....

One or two members have bought some Universal flaps from Halfords (or the like) If fitted properly, they look ok and do their job well. Will probably be fitting some to my next car to prevent stone damage.

I will talk to jonny at petch tomorrow see if he can source any, if not an old bristle doormat and a staple gun, hey presto :thumb:
Seriously i want some for mine trawled tinternet but cant find any. Although you can get them for the standard evo, doubt they would
fit though, or maybe they would with a little persuasion.

Black was going to be my colour too, but white won me over in the end.
I will see jonny on saturday, i will remind him about the mudflaps :thumb:

Hi..yes this is my first Abarth and really looking forward to it !
I have gone for Scorpion black because I'm trading in a white golf and wanted a change and thought the black looked mean >:(
I have gone for the cloth interior (not keen on leather) and the climate and the auto dimming mirror rain sensor and standard wheels
Will probably put a TMC box on at some point for extra fun !

You are going to love this car, after tickling three hundred miles in mine it's no slouch, even with low mileasge on it :thumb:
Bagsof torque in the higher gears, very inpressed so far.
It will be very quick with the Tmc box on.

Has anyone solved this one yet !
Does the paint chip off easily ....calling all existing APE owners ?
I was thinking of having some ventureshield film put over the paint in critcal areas ... ???polishing a car that is peppered in stones just aint no fun ! >:(
