Abarth PUnto Evo, No adjustable lumbar support?
« on: July 27, 2010, 09:07:35 am »
I went to test drive a new APE this last Saturday and although I loved the car I was dissappointed that the drivers seat had no adjustable lumbar support (they were the standard cloth seats).

Could anyone tell me if the leather option has it or if they are basically the same as the cloth ones. The reason i ask is that I have a bad back due to a motorcycle accident years ago and usually need to wind the lumbar support right out to get comfy on anything other than short trips.

Although I was fine on the test drive which was very long and took in all the different types of roads i will ever go on in the car I was a bit worried that after a few months useage the seats might lose some of the support they have and I'll end up being uncomfortable on the car.

I've tried to find some info on the web but it seems scarce so any help would be approeciated.

Thanks

As far as I know, none of the Abarth seats have lumbar adjustment.

It's normally something I look for, too, but I must admit I haven't had a problem in my AGP.

If they are anything like the seats in the AGP then you won't have a problem  :thumb:

    Hi

My back is made of rusty screws and hinges and I suffer a lot with it but I must say the standard seats in my AGP are pretty comfy and don't seem to aggravate it . . . .  really wish they were heated though!  I'm looking into getting them converted into heated seats but it seems a bit pricey.  Other cars I've had have had heated seats and if you've got a bad back they are priceless.  Should be a factory option on all cars.  I might go back to a BMW for winter, best heated seats by far.

Heated seats make you feel like you've pee'd yourself  ;D

Good on leather seats, which do feel cold in the winter, but don't think it adds anything to cloth seats.
