APE SuperSport

Hello, does anyone know the release date of the APE SuperSport and the rough price please? Considering chopping in my 3 year old Fiat A500 for one, the kids are fast outgrowing the tiny 500!  ;D

    Do you mean the Scorpione?

Nothing has been confirmed or released yet.

Edit: Actually, I'd forgotten about the SuperSport.

Of the two, SuperSport is more likely to appear, with Scorpione in limited numbers and special order.  That's my understanding.

Ok ta. Do you know if there are any new models coming out then? I have a copy of Fiat's 4 year plan and next year they say there is a new APE coming out. I don't want to buy an APE now only for a new one to arrive next year!

Abarth are notoriously unpredictable and second-guessing them is usually a dangerous game, so this is to be taken with large amounts of salt.

As far as I know, Evo will not be getting the facelift its Fiat brother has just had.  It's next upgrade will be when the entirely new Punto comes out (which I believe is currently scheduled for 2014).

Scorpione may or may not arrive over here (current rumours = yes no, it's sold out, limited numbers, special order, expensive).

When Evo launched, it was rumoured that it would receive the C635 dual-clutch transmission (known in Alfa circles as TCT), but there's been no sign of that since so I imagine that plan has been binned.

I don't know of anything, other than some kind of limited edition, that might appear next year.  If you want an Evo now, get one now. :thumb:

Of course, this now means a press release will arrive next week detailing some new Punto... ::)

My understanding is that Evo will not be getting the same facelift as the current Fiat, ordering for the Fiat version ended quite a while ago but I can still order Abarth Evo.
Supersport Scorpione will not be hitting the U.K. but Scorpione Supersport will apparently with pricing and delivery yet to be confirmed.

I wouldn't want to second guess Abarth UK but Id say if we were going to get the SuperSport then we would have had it by now..

The rest of the world either has it or can order it, just not us :(

We always knew we weren't getting SuperSport Scorpione, they only made 99 of them.

So, not quite a press release, but some new info has become available which means we can clarify things a little.

When the Abarth Punto Scorpione (the black one) was first announced, as far as we knew it would be available in a limited run of 199 units, in LHD form only, and as a special order from Turin.  That's still the case, although other information suggests these have all sold out anyway.

The Abarth Punto 'SuperSport' (the grey one) will be coming to the UK.  There's still no word on price other than rampant speculation (which I won't join in with) but the first dealer cars are expected to land second half of June.

I'll make a few edits to this thread so there's no (more) confusion. :thumb:
