ahhh...hadn't spied the link..thanks. Whats interesting is the standard set up is deemed good enough for the power increase without the need for upgrades to suspension or breaks unlike the 500.

hmmm. well spotted, suppose we'll have to wait for the official english version to see if drilled discs are still considered essential for the power upgrade ;D

I've popped your post into one of the SuperSport threads as it makes a bit more sense there.

As to what the final product will look like, we'll probably have to wait until they land to know for sure.  Shouldn't be long now.

The above image is the official one from Abarth and if click the link you can clearly see the scorpion wheels and the amended stripe.

Official specs vary from region to region.
It's not unusual for one region to have bits of spec as standard when other regions have them as options.
I'd wait for the official UK specs to be published before any opinion is reached ::)

Strange it quotes 180 bhp yet only 250 Nm torque as 165 bhp standard car  ???. Esseesse at 180 bhp has 270 Nm (I'm sure).

Elsewhere (Abarth.it website, for instance) it still states 270Nm as you'd expect.

In other news, the SuperSport is now available in the Configurator on the Italian Abarth site:-

terrible fact checking then, looked thrown together to me, clips from previous videos and an animation of the original stills they released... however it is a double dip recession and we are told to re-use whenever we can to save wastage  ;D

It's difficult to piece together exactly what's happened here, but it does seem that Turin has muddled up the Scorpione and SuperSport at some point during their development or, if you're more cynically minded, engaged in a hefty round of de-contenting on SuperSport.

As things stand, it looks likely that SuperSport is really just an Evo with black-painted wheels, matt black mirrors, some black vinyl, a couple of stickers on the flanks and tailgate, and half an esseesse kit (i.e. it's minus the wheels and the Konis).  I don't think I've missed anything?

All the other goodies that were originally announced (here) as being on the SuperSport - the Sabelts, 18" wheels, Blue&Me Map, laser-etched graphics on the kick plate, etc - seem to be reserved for the Scorpione (as originally announced here), of which there'll be only 10 RHD examples for the UK market.

Of course, the only way to know for sure is to see what arrives when they land on these shores in a few days' time.
