Esseesse Brake pads
« on: October 01, 2014, 05:58:21 pm »
Hi all, been told my front pads on my esseesse are near end of their life and was after a bit of advice.

Got in touch with the dealer and they said for the esseesse they are £139+vat just for the front pads.

Can anyone recommend any other brake pads to stick on an esseesse? Is it worth paying abarth that much? Sounds a bit steep to me just for front pads.

I'm happy with it, although my missus' A500 is sharper at braking, but that's only 1 year old, mines 4. I will probably get new discs and pads all round soon.

And to be fair, there's not much different between SS and standard...I don't drive any faster top end or if I stop, I don't need to stop any quicker. I'm not emergency braking requiring full potential. (This is if it doesn't perform as well as it could with 150quid pads) :thumb:

Front pads on the EVO Esseesse are HP1000 items, you should be able to get them online for less than the dealer's price.  Failing that something from Ferodo will do the trick if you want something that will take abuse :thumb:

As for the rear pads - there is absolutely no difference between stock EVO and Esseesse pads on the rear, in fact they don't even supply pads with the Esseesse kit, only disks :)
