Climate Control
« on: May 17, 2012, 10:15:48 am »
Hi,
When i went to buy my car,
Arnold clark Glasgow had the car I wanted but it didn't have climate control.
So insted of waiting upto 2 months I thought I would buy that one.
I now wish I got it is there anyway I can get it fitted or is it a factory extra?.

Factory fit only as there's a whole heap of things behind the scenes other than just just the panel.

IMHO Climate on the APE is not up to ACC systems on other cars.

I hire other FIAT group cars in Europe and not that impressed with their Climate either. Always find myself fiddling with the settings if ACC fitted  ::)

I have it and not worth the extra, so don't worry (it came "free" on my car). Std AC on our 500 perfectly adequate.

It's a factory order unit only AFAIK

As for the quality; I've never had a problem with mine - always blows the correct temperature, in the right directions and at the right speed :)

Climate is pretty poor on APE compared to previous cars I have owned, so much so that I prefer to control in manually, so apart from a better looking console climate hasn't brought much to the car.

Climate on the AGP is not the best i've ever used but it's certainly not poor.  Temperature is always constant and saves all that fiddling about. It's one thing I really could not be without, top of my list when ticking the 'extra' boxes.

As previously said, it's factory fit only so if you really really want it then i'd have a word with your dealership, explain that you really want climate and see if they can find you a suitable car and do a good deal for you.  Hope you get sorted   :thumb:

I'm glad i'm not the only one who finds the climate control rubbish! I find I have it on 16 and it's still really hot!

Compared to the one in my old Volvo C30 - it's rubbish! :( (along with the horn :P)

Mine gets cold no problem but you have to set fan level and air direction yourself to feel it otherwise left it Auto the car seems to decide its cold enough or pumps the air some where crap like at your feet.
