Evo vs Supersport
« on: August 18, 2014, 06:32:23 pm »
Lucky enough to get out a supersport whilst my gearbox gets sorted and service happens this week and the exhaust is definitely more noticeable and much louder than the normal one. And with the bmc filter as standard you can definitely hear the turbo flutter a lot more.

New filter and exhaust for me please

    Good isn't it? :)

Is your normal car a standard 165 APE or an Esseesse?

Have you noticed any other differences between the two?  I'm guessing if your loan car is a Supersport they won't have fitted the Koni shocks or anything :)

The exhaust alone is quality on it! However as for performance both myself and gf havent noticed anything too different! does only have 1000 miles on it so maybe still being broken in.

Standard 165 evo. There are some subtle difference like the supersport badge below the climate control and a red and yellow leather stitched hood over the speedo. Cant see if it has konis through the alloys so not too sure about that!

Oooh that red & yellow stitched cover on the speedo binnacle is actually a £120 Abarth Accessory, it's not standard on the Supersport...

It's held on by two screws if you felt a little dishonest and wanted to swap it over :o

Yeah I'd like one but there's no way I could justify £120 for that and £45 for the matching gear gator :o

Is that the leather or the nasty material one?  They're both stitched..

Mine has the binnacle cover with the red and yellow stitching. Its not leather and I thought it was standard on all APE's.

And the gear gaiter has red and yellow stitching too,all standard I thought. Cant remember seeing them on the options list.

The binnacle cover isn't on the options list as it's not an option, it is an accessory.

The standard Supersport item is plain plastic, you got a freebie by the sounds of it! :thumb:

As for the gear gaiter, the standard item is stitched but is made from a funny material - similar to the dashboard middle strip.  There is an accessory leather item that matches the binnacle which is also stitched.
