Title: Front suspension knocking ss 12 plate
Post by: Lanza1988 on July 15, 2012, 10:26:11 pm
Not sure if any of you clever people can point me in the direction of what might be causing this?  I have a knocking noise coming from the front left corner of the car when i turn sharply right.  I first noticed it when i was coming over the gottard pass (sharp hairpins).  Just trying to decide whether i need to go to the dealers or not...The car is an esseesse and is only 2 months old and covered 2,500 miles.

The other thing is the steering, if i hold the wheel dead centre the car turns right (ever so slightly).  I have to have the wheel slightly off centre to go in a straight line.  Surely this isn't right on cars these days?  I wonder if the two things may be related?

Thanks in advance for your opinions.

It turned out to be the hub that the discs are tightened with...It wasn't knocked in place properly to stop it undoing itself.  A friendly italian mechanic did it for me! It just shows that some things are fixed with a hammer!  Anyway, 'Bella Macchina' he said!  Thanks for your help lloyd

Top mounts were a killer on the AGP, the units on the EVO are a lot better.

Had 3 sets on the AGP while I had it.  It says a lot when a manufacturer superceed an item 3 times, completely changing the design each time :thumbd:
