MAP Sensor Part ref
« on: April 13, 2016, 07:11:04 pm »
Hi, today i was driving along as you do and my car jolted, spluttered and got all the error messages come up on the dash.

I know it's the MAP sensor as this has happened before, also had RAC out, who have read the faults which also points at this.

Anyway, the 1st time this happened was a week after fitting my Bluespark tuning box.  I had it replaced under warranty  at the garage i purchased the car from but it wasn't a genuine part.  Even though the car is now booked in to an Abarth Dealers nr me, i want to purchase an additional genuine sensor but i can't find the part number.

Could someone have a look or have the part number at hand?

Also, this is the 2nd MAP sensor in 14 months.  Both times i had the Bluespark box fitted,  would it best to fit the Esseesse sensor?

Hi Shadyracer, it's a 2011 APE with the 4 pin MAP sensor.  It's 163bhp model from factory with the Bluespark box and a 2 1/2 inch cat back exhaust.

Bosch part number 0 281 002 996 , also Fiat / Alfa number 55 219 295 for standard set up without bluespark. Im wondering if there's a chance the bluespark add on is at a setting outwith the standard sensor's operating parameters.  Might be worth asking a reputable tuning company about this as im too old skool to say for sure,  :)
