Brake Pads Evo

It is normal for front brake pads and discs to be replaced at less than 20k miles?
My driving style is not 'aggressive', and is mainly on the motorway (50 mile round trip).

Like on a Abarth 500?

    mine lasted for less than 15K KMs (about 9000 miles).
    I don't drive too aggressively either..

    'Check Pads' light came on, and checked with micrometer at the shop...
