This week ive been driving the car mega carefully (not that I drive like a banshee anyway) to try and avoid further damage to the front of the car. To aid in this I thought I would switch the car into the normal setting,it came with sport activated and ive never tried it out of that. The difference in the car is extreme and I would go so far as to say it could be dangerous if you are used to the car in sport mode. The turbo almost turns off completely, this week I havent gone over 1 bar on the graph. The car really doesnt like it in this mode,its lumpy and its difficult to get it to pull out at junctions. I also find that the shift indicator is wildly optimistic,if I change up when it says the car would stall. Im not saying this is a problem as you just put it back into sport mode and the cars fine again but I think normal mode is completely redundant. It also makes me wonder if Abarth could have had a further setting like "Race" which could have increased the cars response even further.

But imo normal mode is just as waste unless you are cruising down a french motorway or something and just stick cruise on to save a bit of fuel. I think they made normal mode to get good fuel figures which you never get especially in sport mode. Or prehaps use it when its snowy/icy to reduce slip and smoother.

I drive mine in normal mode most of the time as my gear box in 1st and 2nd (changes) is complete ass biscuits at the moment and the 1st to second shift in sports is not fun. Its going back for a fix but thats another story.

I totally agree tho that the difference between the two is insane.

Sorry I didnt mean 1 bar of pressure,I meant 1 bar on the graph. I wonder if it would be possible to remap the settings. That way you could have the Sport mode as normal and have a 200 bhp+ map for sport. It just seems to me that its a large nice looking switch that is pointless and never used.
