i find the right foot gives better results than the on/off nature of the cruise control, could be just a difference between AGP and EVO 
Not seen 45 out of my Evo for a while unless its on the inst gauge, though it's quite close at the mo with 44.3 over 160 miles but it'll never last, it never does, too many ditherers to blast past, once the foot is down I find it's too heavy to lift 
No sooner do I say something about my motor and it goes out of its way to prove me wrong, currently at 400miles on this tank and there is a quarter left in it, reading 45mpg on the gauge, I've done nothing to coax it, just my normal driving, I guess the cold weather drove it to drink and now the sun is out its happy
