Airbag warning light
« on: January 10, 2012, 11:49:26 am »
Has anyone had a problem with the airbag warning lights on the dash board not going out and their being a warning note saying airbag failure refer to handbook.

Had this fault on and off since just after new year. Have booked the car into garage tomorrow

    Needs a reset.
    Not a common problem.
When the airbag light is on there is no danger of it exploding in your face, just means they wont deploy in an accident.

Was a loose connection on the passenger air bag.

Was all fixed for the whole of 30 mins. Just to add the problem engine management lights on again now

I think the eobd light usualy stays on for abit after a problem but it should turn its self off after a short period. On my punto everytime i had a power steering light come on, so would the eobd light(engine light). When the power steering light went off, the eobd light always stayed on for a short while.
Now with added monza fun :P

Oh got I hope I haven't got this problem to look forward to.   I had years of suffering from this problem on an MG ZT, I knew the problem was caused by faulty connection in a junction box under the passenger seat, I even tried soldering the joint without success.    I had hoped I could forget about that now I have an Abarth, I will drive with fingers crossed from now on.

I hope you manage to resolve the issue.
