« on: October 16, 2014, 07:38:32 pm »
Was at the abarth dealer today and they had a white supersport sitting outside which looked like it had bigger brake discs than mine, they werent the drilled/grooved esseesse ones but did look bigger than mine, is this the case?

Nope, they're exactly the same :thumb:

The type and colour of the alloy makes them look different sizes

Maybe that was it! I'll have a check on mine in the morning again haha. I'm assuming if I wanted to change to yellow callipers the dealer could just order them? any ideas how much they are?

    Expensive!

It'd be cheaper to take yours off and send ththeocracy for a rebuild and paint

Think id rather spend the money on the koni kit tbh! £500 should get a koni kit right? also the springs with the kit are much lower are they?

    Much lower :thumb:

As for cost - if you can get hold of them £500 is achievable :)

A friend had Bilstein coilovers on his 500, he went through 3 sets of top mounts in 20,000 miles.

The Koni setup is pretty much perfect in my view.. Firm but smooth, handles amazingly and looks really quite low in the flesh :thumb:

I went to an Italian car show beginning of September, the local Abarth dealer was in attendance with a few Supersports, everyone commented how low and good the car looked in comparison ;D

Best bet would be to call your local dealers..

They're listed on a certain Irish tuning company website but I heard Someone say he didn't have any in stock and had issues getting hold of them.

Konis are the way to go. :thumb:

Had mine fitted a week or so ago. Due to work constraints have not been able to do much mileage on them yet. :thumbd:

How long did yours take to bed in Will?

First few hundred was smooth as a babies bum - I assume this was the shock bedding in period.  That and my first 140 miles were motorway only, so possibly not a fair test.

Next few hundred was really quite lumpy/rough - I almost started regretting having them fitted.  I assumed this was springs.

Then, one day everything just "clicked" and I've not looked back since :thumb:

    Thanks.  :thumb: Good to know.

Monza have asked me to go back in a few weeks to check the alignment. By then I should have a better idea. :thumb:
