It all seems a little underwhelming which is a shame.  :thumbd:

I dunno, thought it read quite well to be honest.

And I agree with their conclusion: "But if you think of the Punto Abarth as a mini GT rather than a hot hatch, a car for economical day-to-day boring stuff with a bit of fizz when you need it, it makes more sense. Go on, give an Abarth a home."

I'm not sure of it, the AGP undercut most warm/hot hatches but the APE its very much in the mix of hot hatches price now.. SKoda fabia, Seat cupra, VW polo gti and if you want a proper hot hatch the clio 200...

I think its in for a rough ride and will rely on the the fans of the Abarth name rather than people buying the car for its performance.

If im honest I dont think the APE is gonna sell that many cars,as the car is over priced and the competition at this level is fierce, clio 200,mini s,ect ect.If it wasnt for abarth fans such as us i think the brand would survive? ???

I agree with both of these comments I bought it because it was an Abarth and rarer than any others mentioned and it is loosening up nicely but no Clio200 but thats a renault.I like the fact im driving something different full stop :)

Mate i could not agree more,I wanted a car that no many people have and i do love the abarth brand.I have owner a clio 182 and had nothing but problems with it!So far so good with my AGP SS.I was gonna try and upgrade to the APE,but after all the negative comments,i think im gonna stick with what i know! :thud:

Neil you need to drive an Evo.
You may well know that I was the worlds biggest fan of GP SS (i had 4 of them) but after driving the Evo for a few weeks its a much more "grown up" car but still has the ability to put the "Abarth grin" on your face :thumb:

I must admit I cant pass judgement until i have driven one! So im gonna book a test drive to see what all the fuss is about.I am sceptical, and do believe the car is overpriced! I have seen a pre-registered one on ebay for a gut busting£18.500.That is gonna out price alot of Abarth fans like me  :'(

I drove one at Bauer Millett last week. It was good, really comfy and quiet on the motorway but it had tons of turbo lag when not in sport mode. I think I'd rather have a Clio RS200...
