I have a feeling that when ford get there act together for a Fiesta ST it will be the best of the bunch.... If i was going for a small hot hatch again it would be either the cupra or polo....

I do think the APE is an imporvment over the AGP though  :thumb:

to be honest i dont think its over priced. look at the a500c...its easily 18K+ with extras etc.

and to be honest i dont think the abarth brand is expensive at all.

i had a corsa as a cortesy car...it was a 1.4 xsi with metalic grey paint and fogs and 15" alloys.and i looked it up at the cost of it...it came to a staggering 14k ish.(cant remember if it was just under or just over 14k), :o FOR A CORSA! thats abarth 500 money.

Now with added monza fun :P

I think its over priced for one reason.

    Dealer Network!

now, i've not been to all Abarth dealers, and im sure some of them (especially the ones on here) are very good. However, the one closest to me has put me off ever buying another Fiat/Abarth/Alfa ever again.

As much as I love my Abarth, they just cannot compete (from my experience) with other manufacturers garages.

Also, I still don't like the look of the inside of the APE (or 500 - shoot me! :P).... and that bit matters to me, since its what I see 99.5% of the time!

I hate to say this, but i think alot of people will change brands after this.Abarth just cant compete with the likes of Clio 200,mini sport, alfa ect.You have only got to read the new reviews of the GPE to nkow what i mean :'(

Depreciation too. You've paid 22K but they were over 50K new (for a FQ400)

I'm the same, I like my AGP but unless a new dealership opens nearby I will not be buying another Abarth and will probably be getting rid of my AGP, this as a direct result of my local dealership which is apalling and I'm sure is the same dealership as you are relating to . . . . i can feel my blood boiling just typing this. They should be shut down, end of.

stil dont think its overpriced. i was gobsmacked at the price of a sxi corsa at almost 14k  ??? why!

and how about the twingo?its only 1 grand less than the a500. i think the only abarth thats abit over priced personaly is the a500c. cracking looking motor but aint it almost 4k more than the hardtop?  :o but ye i still think the abarth priceing is competitive :).

It's not just Abarth that are dear. Look at all the other brands too. You can pay £30,000 for a new Citroen these days! The A500 has no trouble shifting in huge quantities compared to the old AGP, not sure why everyone finds it so much more appealing, but they're obviously not put off by the premium.

to insure its £2300 for a year tax is £415 for a year off the top of my head mgp is 30 at best value for money at £22k is far better than £16k for a punto though. and has anyone had a look at their PX price on their abarths???

mine started life off as a 300 not a 400 though

I'm sorry, but how come you get 30 MPG in a tuned EVO, but only get 11.3 MPG in the Punto? Something's not adding up...
