Title: Dan from Adrian Flux
Post by: Dan@AdrianFlux on June 01, 2011, 05:20:26 pm
Hi everyone.
Just a short introduction. I’m Daniel. I’ve worked for Adrian Flux Insurance for nearly 20 years now.
If any of you guys on here have any general insurance queries or specific problems with Adrian Flux insurance please let me know. I can assure you I will be completely impartial despite being on the pay roll of Adrian Flux. If we have messed up I will acknowledge that and make efforts to get it corrected, if any of you do not understand an insurers viewpoint I will do my best to clearly explain it.
It could be problems ranging from simple paperwork issues to major claim disputes. With my years of experience I should be able to answer most queries immediately, if there are issues or a problem that I can’t answer directly I would ensure that a relevant manager investigates these and I would then be able to relay an answer back.
I hope this will be of some helps for you.
Thanks very much.

Daniel

Not sure if it was Dan who I dealt with the other day doing my re-newal but who ever it was was very on the ball, and lopping nearly a 3rd off my premium and adding breakdown cover was awesome  :thumb:

This could prove really useful in the future. Getting affordable insurance has been a bitch in the past considering my age and modifications; I was also refused a quote by Adrian Flux in February, despite having a clean licence. Anyway, I'll be sure to contact you on my renewal to see what you can come up with...

Welcome to the forum

Disappointed to say that the quote is £105 higher than current premium and that does not include either motoring law expenses cover or breakdown cover. However, my renewal is not due until November and we shall see how things turn out.

All my three claims/accidents in the preceding five years were not my fault. I was at the front of rear end collisions so I wonder whether I am being penalised for this?

Normally very good, I first insured Spike with AF. They don't charge for non BHP enhancing mods from memory. Only left as I moved to a multi car policy through a broker, just easier to manage.

We cover cars owned by companies and we can do multi car policies however we can’t insure car's that are to be insured in a company or business name.

Just as a note to others.   Messaged Dan - shortly afterwards AF got in touch.   Just managed to shave in with the cheapest quote, so we'll be going with them.   So well worth a punt!  Decent company too, used to use them last time I owned something 'interesting'.

And an accident at fault. All four accidents involved female drivers - statistics, you see.

I called them today expecting I would get a decent quote bearing in mind a) 26 yrs driving experience b) 74% protected NCD c) garaged d) no modifications - TMC still not fitted! e) decent postcode f) no motoring convictions g) 15% discount. How wrong I was because I was quoted £829!!  :o

Sorry Adrian Flux, but I'm staying with Esure for the time being.

Dan just a quick 1...
I have had my renewal quote through from Adrian flux saying it will be £591.88
But have just been on compare the meerkat. And the same quote is 437.47 although on my policy i have paid for breakdown, key cover, courtesy car, and personal accident cover.
Although with flux direct it is saying £437 then obviously add on breakdown and key cover but says the courtesy car and accident cover I am paying for is included free already?
Please help as insurance is due this weeked and would like to stay but not if I have to pay more for being "loyal" compared to if I go through a meerkat website which does have cheaper quotes as well
My ref if need that is 373002687
Many thanks
Lee

Cheers dan, managed to save £90 in total from original policy with few changes..
Tell me though..
I know it talks about modifications on the policy..
Now does this include a sticker or 2 I have put on?
Also I bought the car as is from a Maserati dealership, I have not changed anything, but.... Because it already had alloy wheel and stickers and a sunroof and leather seats etc.. Is this all "factory standard" as I am lead to believe this is how it would have been ordered or are these non-standard parts?
I hate to be paying £500 a year for a insurance to try and cope out of paying me my £11k back again..
Cheers
Lee

Hi

It is always best to declare anything you add to the vehicle.  You can always PM me on here rather than having to call the office.

Optional factory fitted extras should be fine but anything that has been fitted after market does need to be declared.

Thanks

Hi,

Is he a member of the forum? Or any other forums for that matter? As we can certainly offer the club discount if so.

Thanks

Not sure why you advertise on here given you don't seem to be able to beat the mainstream suppliers any more.

My renewal with you was £780. On the phone the best you could do was "Still over £700". AXA are £500 on confused.com.

Hi bma

Was the AXA price on a like for like basis?

I appreciate it may be too late now but if you could PM some details, I wouldn't mind taking a look

Thanks

Hi Dan,

Yeah pretty much like for like - only difference is that I was on a "limited mileage policy" with AF. All other details were the same.

Ended up going with Aviva, who were even cheaper (off the comparison site), they were £482, with another £60 cash back by quidco, so for all intents and purposes around £280 cheaper!

I'll DM you the reg number if you want to take a look, tbh I don't think the guy on the phone seemed all that interested in getting the price down so he just cancelled it.
