If i was anyone on here i would not use adrian flux after my experience...

When i took the policy out with them i informed them there was a claim that had been closed with no effect on my side i never claimed and the other party had failed to asnwers to details asked by my old insurance... After a letter from Adrian flux asking for more info about claim i explained it was closed and nothing claimed and i even asked my insurance company to talk to adrian flux and say this but Adrain flux can not get the info out of them even though i have ask them to.. Is this my problem eerr No... i have ask them and they refuse to issue the info to AF, Now AF have said if i dont get the info in 24hr my policy will be canceled, Who the hell are they the maffia... Stuff your policy and swival for your money you scamming rip off gits...

Rant over and out of pocket by £70

New policy with old insurance took out and i have to pay £60 extra than AF but lost the £70 but thats there fault and i think it stinks... 14 days driving £70 yeah cheap thanks AF  :thumb: (Not)  :P

Hello,

Further to your initial thread we thought it worthwhile explaining our side of the situation and closure to this thread.

We understand that you feel alot better about the situation now and are sorry to have gone about this matter in the way that you have ref your latest PM.

Having viewed this case it’s unfortunate that we placed you on cover initially and the issues arose when we contacted your previous insurer to request No Claims Bonus confirmation.  We were advised that there was a claim pending by them although due to Data Protection Act they couldn’t advise any further.

Naturally, if we have provided a quotation based on maximum No Claims Bonus and the previous insurer cannot confirm this we are duty bound to investigate.  A call to this office on 14/1/12 you advised that you had spoken to the previous insurers and that they had closed the matter but not given any details.  We reiterated that we would need written confirmation and you agreed to speak to them to get them to send us details.

At this stage could we just state that we are only doing what every single insurance company and intermediary in the land would also do – seek to obtain details of a pending claim.  However upon us further contacting the third  party insurers they stated that permission had not been given, despite you saying that they had there was nothing on their file to suggest this.

I’m sure the overwhelming majority of the motoring public don’t  begrudge insurers (and intermediaries) going about the business of seeing who is responsible for claims – after all this penalises bad drivers (and catches fraudulent ones) and those who remain claim free invariably have lower premiums and that is how the No Claims Bonus system works and is enforced.

Following this you have decided that you wish to  cancel the policy as  you felt  that you were not  happy with the service you had received.  Our own interpretation is  that  we have the  right to  investigate a non-disclosed claim which severity would have implications on the premium and the No Claims Bonus we  were not  in receipt of, and refused details of.

In between this there had  been some  quite acerbic  comments appearing on the Abarth forum that gave the impression that somehow we had acted imprudently and had somehow not fulfilled our obligations as  your intemediary.  This we felt  needed  closure  and  as you have since had the matter resolved amicably and have confirmed as such, we too felt that  we explain our  position to avoid any negative connotations  concerning our association with Abarthisti forum.

Please feel free to contact us to discuss any matters.

Kind regards
Dan

I think that a more mature approach would have been better from the off on this thread and that the title should be softened somewhat. "Don't Use Adrian Flux" is too blunt, unfair and misleading.

Perhaps "Problem with Adrian Flux, now sorted" would be more useful for those looking for insurance guidance.

Insurance is never a good subject because, by nature it is money for nothing (hopefully). Need to keep the insurers on our side though....

At the time of the inccident it was a "Don't use AF" and i did get about 4 emails refusing money back, It was Dan that obviously push the right buttons to get something done, So at the time i was right in using them words and i also informed AF in my emails after several replies i would whistle blow and let everyone know! So me doing this seemed to work...

Even though the issue is resolved and i have had some of my monies returned i can say i will not be using them again....

People forget that if we don't pick up on these things and let others know more people will be subject to problems like this, We are all to happy to moan about people driving around with no insurance no mot no tax no driving license etc but when we pay good money for a service we expected that good service, Read the small print is what we get told all the time,

I am sorry if i sound harse but this was out of my control at the time i could not make my old insurance company hand over the info due to Data Protection even when i told them to, So in my eyes i was right it was not my fault and why should i suffer...

But yes i am happy now it is sorted and others have had great experience with them even me about 5 years ago it was great service, But like going out for a meal if you get food poisioning once would you go back there... Nor me...

data protection is a the biggest load of rubbish going, no such thing in this case, insurance companies MUST give details of No Claims, either verbally or some companies wish for it to be in writing, but they HAVE to talk to each other.

Most of the time, some insurance companies will not pass the No Claim info on if there is money outstanding on your previous policy or it was cancelled and they are annoyed at losing the business and will make life difficult, but they MUST give that info over and talk to the new insurance company eventually.

so I give Adrian Flux 100% correct and actually its your previous insurance company that is at fault here and thats the one you decided to go back to, maybe the whole story isn't being told, because in my mind I would be getting annoyed with my previous insurance company for withholding info, yet you decide to go back to them and pay more premium?  ::)

no your missing the point. your previous company refused to hand over the no claims proof. that is not the fault of AF, AF accepted your premium on the facts you had supplied, it was upto you and your previous company to prove the facts you had stated on your new insurance form, not for AF to prove it. if your previous company refused to hand it over then it would of been upto to you to sort it out with them for with holding info and not AF. with AF accepting your payment that is concluding the contract under the terms agree by both parties, and that would include your statement of NO CLAIMS, which is upto you or your previous insurance company to prove.

No your missing the point they had proof of my ncb I sent it then. This is about a claim that never went through and they closed the case as the other party never did as instructed and I had no damage when they hit me up the arse at 2 mph.

Nothing to do with proof of ncb they got that.

the closed case file proves your no claims record, which AF asked for and as Dan said :

Having viewed this case it’s unfortunate that we placed you on cover initially and the issues arose when we contacted your previous insurer to request No Claims Bonus confirmation.  We were advised that there was a claim pending by them although due to Data Protection Act they couldn’t advise any further.

so the two things are relevant, my mistake for not making that clearer, but it still is the fault of your previous insurer and not AF.
