Aftermarket radio on the 695C
« on: December 22, 2020, 09:32:51 pm »
I've just bought the Joying 8.8 inch 1din Android radio and wanted to install it in the 695C.

It's a good size and it's responsive and a good screen - https://pbs.twimg.com/media/Dncm5YgU8AIXFaf.jpg

Now, the problem is that in the 695C there is a JBL system with a JBL amplifier. I'm not really which wires go to the amplifier and I' completely new to aftermarket stereos. So at the moment, there is no audio at all.

Steering wheel controls works, internet, navigation, youtube, etc. works, but no sound.

So I need a little help here ... could I be so lucky that one of the other 498 owners of this car has been through this before and reads this ???

So this is weird. I have searched many different forums and found out that canbus connector terminal 6 should be the 'turn amp on' wire. Just connect Amp-cont wire from the radio and everything should be fine - but, there is no wire in canbus terminal 6, so I can connect as much power to this terminal as I want and nothing will happen.

The OEM radio is a completely standard Fiat 500 radio from 2012, so I don't understand why this wire is not there.

I found the solution. I needed to connect the ANT-CONT from the JOYING unit with the AUT.ANT. pin and there is sound!
