Simple answer is, it depends...
Is yours a pre-faclift or a facelift model? Pre-facelifts had a 'Blue & Me' single din stereo and you can either get an adaptor kit to plug into the CAN bus so you can use the steering wheel controls and a standard single din stereo (e.g. the one I've put on Ebay -

Or add a separate switched +12v feed and with a little bit of creativity you can connect the stereo's line input to the existing Blue & Me module , and retain satnav / USB / phone integration (albeit the latter isn't so hot) at the expense of losing the steering wheel volume controls.
If it's a facelift it'll have a double din mount and use a new system called UConnect, this one requires less mucking about with the dash to replace, but does need a parameter updated using multiecuscan, or you'll end up with a flashing speedo and CAN bus errors.
