So I've baught a new sony HU and the harness adaptor and adaptor for steering wheel controls, but someone has mentioned that I may need to use the antenna wire for the amp power?
Confused. Can someone advise pls.

What's wrong with the standard system? I would have thought you're going to have all sorts of connectivity issues putting an aftermarket headunit in there - not just the aerial but also the subwoofer, the crossover to get the correct frequencies to each speaker etc.

As you have the 'harness adapter', plug that in the Sony and the other end to OE wiring. That's power and speakers connected...job done!
