Pioneer Double Din Install
« on: January 15, 2016, 05:08:45 pm »
Hi been a while since i last posted, So thought I'd post some pics of the Pioneer  avh-x8700bt I've installed, The facia connects 2  kit isn't cheap but obviously you need to buy it so as the double din unit will fit,a bit of surgery is needed to cut the ventilation pipes but once that's done the cage slips in easily, connect up the head unit slide that in and fit facia job done   just have to fit the usb ext to the blue and me module which is in the rear qtr which means taking out rear seat, panel off drill rivets out of said module connect up and re pop rivet it back ::) but thats for another day,at the moment the USB runs into the glove box

The Android auto works well with the phone plugged in as I can access Google maps, Google play music plus any music stored in my phone, in the pioneer unit itself I can make hands free calls via Bluetooth without plugging my phone in and it will also read text messages, volume control and up and down work via the steering wheel buttons, overall I'm very happy with it   :thumb:

Looks good. Really think the Double DIN head units make the whole interior seem much more modern and upmarket.  :thumb:
