Hi guys
Sorry if this has been covered before but I can't seem to get a definitive answer from reading the posts
I've got a brand new (63 plate) a500 I've paired my iPhone 4 no problem I have all my contacts and voice dialling works great too. I tried the music today and the only way I can get it to work is via the jack plug, however I cannot control it via head unit or steering wheel only the phone itself
I have not tried USB but I was hoping that it would work via blue and me and not with any leads
I understand that messages won't work, but reading the posts it would seem that some people can get music via Bluetooth, whilst others use either jack or USB leads. Should voice control work as well? As its only a 4 I do not have Siri
Can somebody confirm how the iphone 4 should work, the phone has the latest software (as I assume the car) I've closed all the background apps and any help would be most welcome

What threads show music can be played through Bluetooth because this is not possible. Music can only be played through USB and AUX. But music can only be controlled using the steering wheel via USB.
Music can be played using an FM tuner but no external controls.

Some of the threads gave the impression that music played via USB and as I can play music via Bluetooth to my earpiece I thought id best clarify
I'm going try via USB later

Just an update
Works brilliantly via USB, display in the dash (not on head unit though) steering wheel controls all operational
