I'll give it a try then...  ::)

So if I'm reading this correctly, there is no real iPod/Phone connection through which you can control your iPod.
So if you really want to use a lot(4Gb+) MP3's in your car your best bet is to use a memory stick. (Sticks of 8GB have been reported to work in B&M.)
Also as an Abarthisti top tip you should use an USB extender cable so as not to damage the in car USB socket whilst removing your USB stick.

Anything I have mist here?

(PS, for "private" web surfing use this  ;D )

    My 16GB stick with 12GB of MP3's seems to work ok - although it took an age to build the media library!

    I use a USB adapter for M2 (sony) memcard, and a 2gb M2 card

    see here - http://www.sonyericsson.com/cws/products/accessories/overview/ccr-70

    and here - http://www.amazon.co.uk/SANDISK-MS-M2-2048MB-MOBILE/dp/B000MIDIE0/ref=dp_cp_ob_ce_title_1

    both "found" at work. I haven't tried a bigger card, but i'm totally sure it will work fine.
