Blue & Me and Variable Bit Rates?
« on: July 08, 2009, 09:49:58 am »
The great 4gb mp3 migration has started pick my car up on Saturday (hopefully) and ive started preparing my memorystick.

Couple of weeks ago i had a Fiat 500 courtesy car and the stick i happened to have on me wouldnt play some albums.....any ideas why.....because i couldnt tell why but while transfering music last night i wondered if it was anything to do with Variable Bit Rates and its ability to read them? or is it just another Blue and Me Gripe to add to the rest?

All ideas gratefully recieved  ;D

What make of stick were you using?  Blue&Me does like a quality USB stick to work from.

Don't think I've got any VBR stuff here to try, but if you want to email one over, I'll happily try it in mine for you.

The stick i was using had albums that played fine...then certain odd folders just said no files when there were files in the folders ....hence the reason ive bought a Sandisk Cruzer stick for its imminent arrival  ;D

Just to update this - Andrew sent me one of his VBR MP3s and it plays fine.

However, the file Andrew had trouble playing before isn't an MP3, despite having an .mp3 extension.  No idea what it is, tbh.
