Blue&Me dead?
« on: November 23, 2015, 06:43:27 pm »
Hi All

Seems like my Blue&Me has died but can someone confirm what is really wrong before I let the garage replace the Blue&Me unit for £400~!!!

The mileage is flashing on the dash.
Blue&Me no-longer works, windows button does nothing, phone will not charge through the USB port.
Other buttons on the steering wheel do still work, volume, next track/tune radio etc.

I have tried disconnecting the battery, which didn't fix it.
I have also tried to do a PROXI Alignment / CAN Setup, which doesn't work with the error "Empty PROXI file in Body Computer (BCM)!".

Is there anything else I can try before having to shell out £400~ to get the garage to fix it. They claim that it's out of warranty, but my car is only a '13 plate. So it is very poor that this has failed already!

PS my car is an Abarth Punto EVO, '13 plate registered in March 2013.

I've got the same problem with mine, mileage started flashing and Blue&Me stopped working. Still under warrenty so I took it in and the unit is knackered. Need to have it replaced. You should still be able to charge USB devices if you plug a USB adapter into the cigerette lighter port.

Mines booked in next month to replace; apparently its behind the left rear wing on the A500s, they have to rip out the back seats, seatbelts and interior lining to get at it! Probably remove the front passenger seat too to get at the back! So much effort for one tiny unit.
