« on: January 31, 2012, 08:46:30 am »
Does anyone know how to play music from an htc through the USB socket???

Do you need to change settings on the phone as with my iPhone I just plug it in and it starts playing but with my htc it doesn't it will only charge

    I think you:

    Click menu on phone,
    click setting,
    Scroll down to"connect to pc"
    Click "default connection type"
    click disk drive.
    Click done.
Plug it in your usb and it should work :). That works for my htc wildfire.
Now with added monza fun :P

Don't know about HTC but on my Android Xperia you can set the default mode on USB connection, when used as mass storage it will play music off of the phone no problem but this also unmounts some apps.

I just put a small 16Gb stick in the port and fill that with music, leaving my phone in my pocket and no wires to arse about with, its a whole lot easier.
