Title: Playing music from my iPhone via bluetooth

I have a 2009 Abarth 500 and the only way I can play music from my phone is by using a cable plugged into a blue&me adaptor that is plugged into the USB port. The cable is very annoying and I was wondering if anyone knows of anything I can use that will enable me to play music via bluetooth so I don't have to use a cable? I'm not a fan of them. Firstly, it drains your phone battery so you have to keep charging it, which shortens the lifespan of the device. Leave it plugged in to keep charged, you might as well just use it that way.
Secondly for a bluetooth FM transmitter, your using a lossy format such as mp3, m4a etc. that are compressed in a way that loses some of the original quality (as opposed to flac or wav which aren't supported), converting it via FM modulation which loses even more quality.
A Bluetooth to 3.5mm, like original link, for cars with AUX would probably be better than FM method, depending on the hardware.
Personally, I just use a USB stick. No charging, no wires, no loss of quality due to reencoding for FM or Bluetooth. I've had several "SanDisk Cruzer Blade USB 2.0 Flash Drive". Doesn't stick out very far, black and red to match interior.

Forgot, there are also FM modulators that are wired so they plug into the headphone socket. Usually better than the normal transmitters as the FM signal is injected, for want of a better wor,d straight into the wire from the aerial. These are boxes that get fitted behind the head unit and just have a wire exposed for connecting.
Don't forget with any FM or Aux method you can't skip using the steering wheel.
