I have a hudl 2 tablet which is now after a frustrating morning paired to the car. Am I able to play music saved on my tablet from Spotify through the blue and me system either through Bluetooth or with a wired connection?

I'm finding the whole blue and me thing rather frustrating and I'm now considering buying a double din head unit to try and remove all issues, but before I do I thought it would be worth giving the tablet a shot.

OK then thank you for the help, I'll try and see if its possible to retro fit the newer blue and me system to my car. Failing that I guess it will have to be an aftermarket job.

I don't actually have an aux port, from what I understand of it (and this is getting slightly geeky now) the first gen stereos were made by blaupunkt. They had an aux port fitted at the rear.  Then they switched to Bosch and the port was removed. My mums 500 has an aux port, my car was built 2 weeks later and doesn't! So frustrating.

My plan is therefore to try and find a blaupunkt radio and swap it for mine. Then I could just mount my tablet on the dash and play Spotify through that. Although I'm not sure if a blaupunkt would work with blue and me?

The setup of Justin's is mighty impressive. I made some enquiries today about double dins but just to get the facial and relevant leads costs around £250 and then the same again for the entry level stereo. Rather pricey.

Yes that is an idea I guess. I have one of those Mi-fi dongle things. In an ideal world I would just use that with the tablet to get Spotify and DAB.

Haha there is nothing next to the USB. It is just a USB and that's it. My car was one of the first 200 into the UK I believe, so its a bit stone age compared to these modern ones you drive!

1st gen I'm not sure. I use a 4S in mine every now and again for that purpose and it works well. The battery is much useless on that, but as it's always plugged in it doesn't really matter.
