My Abarth 130 TC
« on: March 19, 2009, 03:39:19 pm »
I bought my car in Germany in 2007.
Been searching all over for a car, and finally thru the Dutch Abarth Club I managed to find one.
It's a totally rebuild one from 1985.
It has 135000km on the clock.
Was acutally featured in a classic car magazine last year, called Klassiker.

    So do I.

Very rare to come across one that is not red. (I think there is a yellow one that appears at some classic events as well).

I had one of these in the 1980s. It was red, of course, and the "Mk2" version which had a different grill and red and black cloth seats which was the same fabric as on the Uno Turbo.Interestingly, the later Strada did not have an Abarth badge fitted to the grill, although it was quite straightforward to buy the badge and fixings ( as fitted to the earlier model ) and fit them to the new grill. You just ordered stuff through your local FIAT dealer. As far as I know, the Strada Abarth was only sold in the UK in two colours - red and black. If you see one now in any other colour it's had a respray. I think it may have been sold in Europe in white and silver too but those colours never came to the UK.
