Just popped into the Thames service department to get my B&M system reset.

They appeard to be nice people and very efficient. I guess I'll find out for sure in a few thousand miles.

BTW, they had a grey A500SS with titanium wheels on the lot. I'm so glad that I chose the white as the titanium's made the car look lacklustre in comparisson. A quick straw pole was unanimously in favour of white. :thumb:

got my a500 from thames, the service dept fixed the stripe under warranty no problem, as per my previous post, have tried to arrange a test in an esseesse.... still waiting for a call!! you would think if i waved two and half grand in any other recession hit business they would at least go thru the motions. but alas not.. why the govt (and us as tax payers) are trying to save these arrogant dealers , I am at a loss, in a service industry, without good service they are nothing, the quicker the rubbish ones go to the wall the better!

I had my GPA serviced by Thames today and they seem a competent outfit.  I waited.  First I had a coffee, then I had a chat with Ajay about my potential purchase of an A500 to complete my Abarth collection in the first half of next year, which was nice, then I wandered around admiring all the registered and as yet unregistered and unsold Abarth cars, and then I sneaked up on the big gate to the workshop and watched.  It was cool, the guy working my car was very thorough, he did everything I asked them to and the service bill was not much more than for the Punto Sporting at the time.  So I won't hesitate to take my car back there, especially since they are well within commuting distance, which Westover sadly is not.

Collected my new car yesterday - can't thank Abb at Thames Slough enough.

This is the fifth car in a row purchased from Thames and overall the experience has been positive, in each case any little niggles pointed out were rectified with a minimum
    of fuss.

The showroom is always spotless and comfortable, and I was offered refreshments whilst the paperwork formalities were being dealt with.

Handover was flawless, the car was presentable and ready to drive away. They will definately continue to get my trade in future.

They gave me a fair part-ex on my old car, so all in all quite happy.

10/10 for Thames Slough, I can highly recommend them.  :thumb:

In terms of Thames, I haven't got a bad word to say about them. Great bunch of guys from my perspective, always willing to help out and knowledgeable to about the cars. A few of them were at Silverstone last year to see their sponsored 500 and show a commitment to the brand.

I bought my car through Ajay at Thames. I think this is my 3rd Fiat from them and the service was excellent, as always. I always go back to 'Abb' there and this time dealt with Ajay.

The guys there are all really friendly and helpful and nothing is too much trouble. I can't recommend them enough.  :thumb:

Bought mine from Thames, Slough, dealing with Ajay, who I have to say was scrupulously professional, helpful and friendly.

Reading the comments on here, it would seem my favourable impressions of this dealership were not a one-off, which is always good to know.

Ok picked up the car yesterday afternoon .... WOW!

Ajay had phoned me to say he had a unregistered one on friday and could have it ready for monday :o even after I said I wanted the SS and Monza.

It was pre arranged for wednesday, and yesterday morning as I am speaking to Ajay  sorting out the insurance, he asked if I wanted to come to slough this afternoon and pick it up  ::)

So there I was at Slough trying not to slobber over my car on the forecourt, Ajay talking me through the paperwork in plain english, very nice guy and makes you feel very important, plus no bullsh*t, which is rare in car salesmen these days ;)

He then brought the car round, gave me a thorough walk through, which was a bit tedious I had already figured out much of it and just wanted to drive baby drive, but I listened like a good school boy should.

Suddenly noticed they had forgot the parking sensors, understandable as it was supposed to be a wednesday pick up, he said not to worry, he would send his guy over to my office, which is 30 miles from Slough, I thought that was excellent.

Job done, I thanked him, like I was shaking the president of america's hand, you know the whole " so honoured to meet you and thankyou for seeing me " kinda thing..  :shy:

and with that, got it, roared it to life and shot off for 25 yards, hit traffic, which pretty much was the journey at 5pm on the M25 going back towards St Albans  :-\

Like everybody else has said... Thames and esp Ajay are thoroughly recommended by me.

Ajay is a straight talking, all round nice guy. Nothing like any other car salesman I have dealt with in the past.

If you are from this part of the world and you want an Abarth, Thames are the people to deal with.
A500SS BNW.... loved every moment of ownership, but could be off to the world of JCW Minis soon - due in no small part to stupid spec constraints on the 595

I would also point out his aftercare service is first rate, as many of us on the forum seem to pop in and have a coffee with him, some get offered bourbons  :o

Although I have yet to avail myself of the aftercare coffees and bourbons, I have to agree with the praise for Ajay. He looked after me well, and greeted me like a long lost friend at the ACE Cafe meet........ can't ask for more than that, really!
