Title: Fitting Competizione pedals
Post by: Pedro on May 04, 2015, 08:26:29 pm
Fitted my pedals at the weekend. Found nothing online with regards to a fitting guide so just expected the pedals to go on like any other, which was a good assumption.

The normal pedals and their rubber boots just pull off.
Drill 6mm holes in the bare pedals, using the black plastic mounts which come with the Competizione pedals as guides.
Put the new pedals on with the nuts and bolts provided.
Jobs a good 'un.

Excuse the crud on the floor...

I found this topic last week when I got the pedals for my car. Hope its ok to add some pictures to it showing the work involved. The new pedals come in two parts. The back part is a plastic plate that fits over the original and has pre drilled holes in in making the job of drilling them a breeze. Also in the kit is a small plastic cube. This slots into the rear bottom of the accelarator pedal so that the nut does not need a spanner on it when tightening. Make sure you have the plastic plates the right way up so the holes are not drilled incorrectly. Apart from that its an easy job and took no more than 10 minutes.

They look good but aren't they more slippery to drive with wet shoes as compared with the originals?
