Abarth 500 wanted!
« on: March 20, 2018, 01:56:28 pm »
Afternoon,

Looking to buy an Abarth 500 for summer!

Must have:

A/C
FHS

Would like:

Split rear seats
Upgraded stereo
Monza exhaust
Esseesse Factory install

Appreciate there won't be many around with all these bits!

Not fussed about leather interior or alloy style

Thanks in advance :)

I had an abarth 8/9 years ago, can't wait to get in another!

Chris

    Good thoughts!

    Manual!

Would prefer a hardtop but not a deal breaker :)

Esseesse was not a Factory install. Dealer fitted a kit to the standard 135bhp car.

hi,my abarth 500 esseesse is coming up for sale at the end of april, it is a 2010 model in bianco, bianco white, it has covered 38,000 miles and is in very good condition with full service history, and oil change every 12 months, not modified, not messed with, just a very nice 500 with the full esseesse kit fitted, including the awesome Monza exhaust and the hi fi upgrade. I bought the car just over 3 years ago, I am not a boy racer, but someone who remembers the abarths from the seventies, that might give you a clue as to my age. the interior is in very nice condition with red leather front seats, the drivers seat bolster is showing slight wear but the leather is supple and not dry. mot until jan 2019, tyres are all good, and it really does turn heads with the white paintwork and colour coded wheels, oh I forgot to mention the panoramic sunroof. it also comes with a spacesaver spare wheel, I know there has been issues with spare wheel on the 500, or rather the lack of one. this one is from a fiat punto, it is brand new, and it does fit , I have tried it. however, if you have a front puncture you will have to transfer a rear wheel to the front and put the spacesaver on the rear as it will not fit over the brake caliper on the front... if this sounds like it might be something you are interested in please get in touch and we might be able to reach a deal...kind regards vince

Mine is currently up for sale on RaceCarsDirect and PistonHeads

    Description:
Extremely rare road legal 1 of only 13 Abarth 500. These 13 Abarth 500's were built by Abarth for the 2010 BSM centenary celebrity challenge held at the Silverstone Classic, there were thought to be 16 in total but then only in fact being 13 made, each one being driven by a celebrity to raise money for a cancer charity.

This one was driven to the win by Rick Parfitt Jnr (whom was bitten by the race bug hard and is now a Ginetta and Porche racer in his own right).

All 13 of these Abarths consisted of the Esseesse performance upgrade kit which includes 17" lightweight alloy wheels, Cross drilled brake discs, Performance pads, Up-rated spring suspension set, Abarth upgraded ECU, BMC performance air filter. The cars also included the Abarth Monza exhaust which with the Esseesse kit increase the bhp from 135 to 165bhp. Abarth Corse seats by Sabelt with 4 point harness, Bespoke safety cage built by Custom cages in compliant with MSA requirements. It also has the upgraded Interscope sound system, Blue&Me bluetooth
connectivity plus the usual Abarth features.

    =========================================================

I'm reluctantly dipping my toe in selling mine (called Piccolo Razzo).
After the Charity race he was auctioned off to raise money for Mcmillan Cancer Nurses.
"Pico" as I call him was then bought by the wife of the owner of Donnington Race Circuit and then part exchanged against a TT; this is when I bought him.

His brief life as a launch car and circuit racer meant he was built at the Turin Factory in Italy (NOT in Poland like all of the following Abarths) and finished with the full Esseesse upgrade pack, rollcage, fire extinguisher, Toora 4 point  harnesses, tow straps, record Monza active exhaust and titanium grey alloys.

In the time I've owned him, and with the help of Abarth UK he has been further upgraded towards Assetto Corse / Trofeo / Biposto specs with:-
Carbon Fibre Sparco drivers bucket seat
    Sparco Seat side mounts
    OMP Seat adaptor plate
    Carbon fibre Gear knob
    Bonelume short shifter from Italy
Bonelume electrically actuated dump valve from Italy
    Boost recirc blanked
    TMC piggyback ECU box
    K&N cold air intake
Gaz height and damping adjustable coilovers
Assetto Corse Vented and NACA ducted bonnet
Assetto Corse GRP from splitter (a bit scuffed due to speed bumps)
    Forge Turbo actuator
Genuine 17" OZ Leggenda Abarth embossed Alloys
500S passenger seat with cubby underneath
Decatted and lambda blanked (but still passess emmissions cleanly)
Sparco removable steering wheel boss (easier to get in and out)
    Suede deep dish steering wheel
Carbon fibre plate with the multifunction steering wheel controls for bluetooth etc

I've also got some more upgrade parts, and a suite of spares that will come with the car if it goes for the asking price:-
-Stage 2 lightened flywheel (replaces the std duel mass and really lets the engine strtch it's legs with reduced mass, bought ready to swap when ever the clutch gets replaced)
-Forge front mounted intercooler including pipework
    -Original bonnet
-Original set of 17" titanium grey alloys
    -Original steering wheel
    -Original actuator
-Original airbox and engine bay pipework

Two of his 12 sister cars have been sold in the last year for over £10,000 each so this is a steal and he could either continue to be run on the road, or with a couple of tweaks he could compete in many circuit classes.

I fitted brand new sports tyres to go through winter, but with moving house hes just been parked up sulking and not being driven. Now the sun has come out again he's been given a full MOT (only needed a reg plate light) so is ready to rock

Any other questions, please give me a shout
