Stato time for anyone interested

Well what an interesting month August 09 has been stats wise.

Fiat Group (Abarth, Alfa Romeo & Fiat no Ferrari or Maserati) saw 58.6% of its registrations come from the Scrappage Scheme in August 09 figures are units registered
                               Last Yr
Abarth           59           12
Alfa             344          216    the 'Mito' effect going on here
Fiat           3,026       1,629

Total         3,429        1,857

Scrappage  registrations of the 3,429 = 2,010

Things don't look to good at Saab with just 35 registrations in August but don't worry in terms of excllusivity YTD is 5,563 compared to our 761.

The 59 units done for Abarth shows that factory order only is the main way that these cars are supplied people as this forum clearly shows just want them and not everyone has waited for a 59 plate.

Is anyone interested in the split?

Yes please I like to see the split  :thumb:

The wing mirrors were a mistake at the factory, I was sent a photo by the dealership and asked to decide within 24 hours whether I did want the black mirrors so they could make a claim to Abarth. I decided White looked better! Oh by the way, thanks for your nice comment and the split  :thumb:

I was at Glyn Hopkin on Saturday.
Claire said sales were going very well, she took orders on 5 last week.
I remember when I placed my order in April she said it was 2 or so per week.
I've also noticed a higher rate of posts on the "Abarth spotted" topic.
We're not exactly common but I expect to actually start seeing a few on the roads soon (I've only seen a couple since release).

Well done Delaney for keeping the obsessives interested with your magic secret numbers.

How about a further split into how many have been SS'd?

    Statoholic September Analysis

Lets start with the Fiat Group in the UK (excluding Ferrari & Maserati) the % of Scrappage registrations fell from 58.6% in Aug to 44.3% in September reflecting the usual new reg peak.

                  Sept 09      Sept 08
    Abarth           212              41
Alfa Romeo   1,978            796  The Mito effect is 1,400 units! 70.8% of Alfa
    Fiat           11,712          9,818

    Total         13,902         10,655

    Scrappage registrations of the 13,902 = 6,157

Let me show how exclusive the Abarth GP is with YTD of 194. Every one of the Aston Martin models (DB7, DBS & V8) have registered more than 200 units this year. This September also saw the AGP with 51.22% more registrations in September than last year  62 to 41. In fact Nissans GT-R Skyline registered more units this month than the AGP did for the YTD to the end of July.

I know that some potential Abarthisti had considered the Mito but it is very much a volume product which is good for Alfa although all of the ones registered so far will not have the Multiair in.

The A500 with 150 units is 2x the 5 month (non reg month) average of 74.8 units/month.

Appearing for the first time in the UK is Infiniti with 24 units i'm sure most will be registered to themselves for press and demo at Reading i wont bore anyone with the split.

Saab did manage more than the 35 last month but with a decline of 50.83% over last year i think Koenigsegg have giot a big job on their hands.

I trust that this provides a fix for the Statoholics amoungst you and i am very sorry for the delay this month but things have been very hectic!
