A bit of a drop then, but at least it stays exclusive.

Drove nearly 100 miles today and haven't seen a single Abarth. The few 500's sighted today were Fiat including a Barbie pink hatchback and two BSM cars.

100 miles and havn't seen an Abarth? I've done nearly 24,000 miles and seen 2 at the most!  ;D

Good for you, so we both belong to an exclusive club along with the fellow Abarthisti here   :thumb:

Happened to spot this on Italiaspeed in a generally downbeat story about Fiat's performance in the UK. I know that the loss of the scrappage scheme and the big BSM contract will have had an impact but I'd be interested to know Fiat/Abarth's take on the situation.

"Abarth ended the year on a downwards note, it shifted 87 units in December, compared to 113 units during the final month of 2009, as the Scorpion brand still falls a long way short of achieving viability since its return to the UK. That added up to a year-on-year fall of 23.01 percent, only slightly underperforming the UK market which meant its share remained static on 0.07 percent."

    I get the message !!!!!!!!!!

So here we go here are the totals for 2010 in honour of the king of Yorkshire himself Lloyd here is the Punto data

Abarth Grande Punto     46        the last ever UK registered one was the Black one registered in September
Abarth Punto Evo          87        this does not compare well to the AGP if you consider that the APE registrations where 6 months
with July-Dec 10 and the AGP for the same period July-Dec 09 managed 139 units

If you own a Red APE you have a very very rare car which is strange as with the AGP it was not far behind white.

As they are 'personal' imports, where will the 695 data appear?
I'd be interested to know how many of each flavour/colour are coming to the UK.

Its Monday so as promised statoholics here is some more. I will continue with APE data i know simer did at least request 500 data but just for now i will play Come del gioco di colore!! for APE

So 2010 saw the introduction in to the UK market of the Abarth Punto Evolution with the first cars being UK plated in July so we have 6 months of registrations obviously with the July seeing the dealer demos being plated then there after it is more customer choice in colours. So with the total of 87 cars being registered in the 6 month period

    White     32   37%
Grey       25   29% the new for Punto colour that was not available on the AGP
    Black      16   18%
    Red        14   16%

    TOTAL    87

It is quite interesting to tell you that in Month 1 July of the 24 APE's registered only 3 of them were White which was the lowest of any of the 4 colours and Grey which is #2 over the 6 months was top with 11. But every month since July White has been #1 in APE registrations.

Does that tally with the fact that a lot of the demo's were grey?  Certainly the 4 Evo's I saw in July (2 of which were at Goodwood) were all Campovolo flavoured.

Interesting that the red and black have switched places over the AGP colours, where black was the more exclusive.

We need to get a 'stat love' smiley, like the 'Cloud 9' one on PH
