John is spot on with the commercial terms for 2012 and it wasn't just for the Abarth franchises!

It's less than Bentley and other super brands and with a product priced at over 80% less APE 2011 registrations 156   Aston Martin Cygnet (tarted up Toyota Yaris)2011 registrations 89. Lamborghini Gallardo 2011 registrations 77   Mercedes CL-Class 2011 registrations 152  Citroen C-Zero 2011 registrations 46.

Being a vehicle manufacture is a complex business and belive me the group is very commercially focused in what it does later in the year is the 500 MMR. If you want to be concerned for anyone then PSA are the manufacture with issues and given that it is their engine which goes in BMW's Mini it may be that they might have German owners sometime in the future although PSA have been talking to FGA again as well!

Ah, you missed the terrifying news that Citroen allegedly only shifted 4 of it's C6 model in the UK in 2011 too  :o

I think John501 is spot on. We have ordered and will take delivery of a new A500C on March 1st. I didn't want it in Jan or Feb due to the weather so might as well be a "12 reg" snob ;D

    Hello Statoholics

I have been very very busy with things going on and hadn't even had a chance to review my data files but here goes.

Feb 2012       Feb 2012 YTD              Feb 11     Feb 11 YTD

    A500         27                    75                            24               92                Covers all A500 A500 & A500C
    APE            4                       5                            11               22

    Total         31                     80                            35             113

So as you can see A500 up on 2011 for the pre new reg month but down on YTD and APE was better than the last pre new reg month (Aug 11) but well down on the 11 units/month avg of the last 6 months of 2011.

So for the new reg month itself
Mar 2012      Mar 2012 YTD              Mar 11     Mar 11 YTD

    A500         256                  331                        250             342                Covers all A500 A500 & A500C
    APE            26                     31                          38               59

    Total        282                   362                         288             401

Well the March figures in the A sector where the A500 sits are down on a sector which is up YonY but exclusivity is always a good thing and obviously the APE is very unique.

Some chap welsh500 was asking about colours

Well if you own a Grey APE that has been registered this year you are one of only 4 the most common APE colour this year is White accounting for 35.4% of APE registrations.

As usual White makes up 40.78% of all A500's for 2012 registrations

Other rarities in the A sector the Toyota Yaris with an Aston Martin badge well 9 got registered in March brining the YTD to 27. Me thinks that they might have been looking for slightly better figures than that

The other major entry in the A sector is the VW Up! 1,059 were registered in March with 22 having been reg in Feb.

The standard Fiat 500 is #1 in the A sector with 16% YTD.

Is there any way to find out how many Esseesse's have been registered of each model?

I know its going to be a tiny number but would be interesting to know how exclusive they are :)

Registrations won't help you because the DVLA are incompetent.  But figures from Abarth show that the conversion rate for 500 is nearly 50%.  I don't have anything for the Punto models off-hand.

Really? 50% ? Didn't realise it was that high!!

As for the DVLA; tell me about it! According to my V5 I own an "ABARTH", no mention of model or anything ::)

that might explain why the DVLA database shows a peak figure of 366 AGPs on the road, some are obviously registered as just Abarth :thumb:

Well sorry late again i had the data 10 days ago!! Thank you for his excellence LLoyd in putting in the months total.

So here are the statoholic details

    April 2012

Abarth Punto Evo     2      thats right and they were both Black which brings Black up to 30.30% of all APE's registered this year.
At least the APE wasn't out done by the Aston Martin Cygnet that only had 2 registered in April as well (sorry for my previous error of putting in print last month it was a Toyota Yaris with an Aston Martin badge it is as everyone knows it is a Toyota iQ with an Aston Martin badge.)

    Abarth 500C    13
    Abarth 500       45

Other registration data well the Chrysler Delta had 25 registered in April that is 5 more than the car it is based on the Fiat Bravo. And yes i can confirm for all Alfaaholics that 1 Alfa 159 was registered in April so that is a 9 month old car as production ended in July. SAAB's are still being registered also with 21 9-3's being registered and 2 9-5's it was sad to see certain SAAB dealer groups put their business's into Administration.

Someone registered a Maybach in April also so sales are going well for them this year with 2 registered YTD and the LAMBORGHINI AVENTADOR is on stream now with a further 10 going on for April thats 28 YTD.

Hello Statoholics the SMMT has declared for May 2012 and here are tthe stats
                 MONTH          YTD
    A500     56                 359
    A500C   18                 104
                       74                  463

    APE         8                   41
                         8                    41

    TOTAL          82                  504

There were 2 of each colour for the APE this month. a good month for A500 other than new reg month March the best of the year so far.
