Statoholic September Analysis
Lets start with the Fiat Group in the UK (excluding Ferrari & Maserati) the % of Scrappage registrations fell from 58.6% in Aug to 44.3% in September reflecting the usual new reg peak.
Sept 09 Sept 08
Abarth 212 41
Alfa Romeo 1,978 796 The Mito effect is 1,400 units! 70.8% of Alfa
Fiat 11,712 9,818
Total 13,902 10,655
Scrappage registrations of the 13,902 = 6,157
Let me show how exclusive the Abarth GP is with YTD of 194. Every one of the Aston Martin models (DB7, DBS & V8) have registered more than 200 units this year. This September also saw the AGP with 51.22% more registrations in September than last year 62 to 41. In fact Nissans GT-R Skyline registered more units this month than the AGP did for the YTD to the end of July.
I know that some potential Abarthisti had considered the Mito but it is very much a volume product which is good for Alfa although all of the ones registered so far will not have the Multiair in.
The A500 with 150 units is 2x the 5 month (non reg month) average of 74.8 units/month.
Appearing for the first time in the UK is Infiniti with 24 units i'm sure most will be registered to themselves for press and demo at Reading i wont bore anyone with the split.
Saab did manage more than the 35 last month but with a decline of 50.83% over last year i think Koenigsegg have giot a big job on their hands.
I trust that this provides a fix for the Statoholics amoungst you and i am very sorry for the delay this month but things have been very hectic!
