Title: Broken Flip Key
Post by: triple7 on August 15, 2017, 02:15:29 pm
Has anyone fixed or managed to replace their flip key?

The switchblade doesn't return to a closed position so is constantly open, wondered if I moved all the inner contents to a new shell it would still work or if I'd need to get it reprogrammed? Don't really want to go to Abarth as I'm sure they'd charge a fortune for a replacement key.

I had a similar issue. I purchased a cheap china Fiat key from ebay ($16AUD) and used the spring out of it and threw the rest away. You just pop open the shell and swap the innards out of it including your cut key and microchip for the remote. Slap a new Abarth key sticker on and you're done  :thumb:
