Future New Owner

Hey Folks :D

Thank for the approval :D.

Just looking for some general advice, we bought a 09 500 pop when they 1st came out and it was a god awful car.
Break Squeal, Hoses Melting in Engine Bay, Oil Smell, Door Handle Fell Off, Boot wouldn' t open.

but ignoring all that, my wife loved the car (I still h8 it ha-ha), 10 years later after some sensible focus's etc she wants a 500 again, so I thought I would by an Abarth for her and maybe a wee bit for me.

Is there any particular year better than the rest, anything I should look out for, Currently eyeing a 2012 model with about  40K mileage.

Not buying new as she barley does 5k a year these days.

Thanks

for any Advice.

Get the newest you can afford.

We had 4 (!) Abarths from 2012 to 2019, everyone was better than the previous one.

A series 3 is much better made than a 2, a S3 Generally, will have the digital TFT dash and will probably be called a 595. Also the rear suspension is better sorted.

A series 4 has the body coloured inserts in the rear lights, and has a DAB touchscreen radio

The best one, or the one I enjoyed the most was a series 3.

    Full history is vital too
