Thanks for the AGP pics  :thumb:

Exhaust looks a bit manky, looks like they've used some quality materials there

Good excuse to save for a nice stainless system, standard one will probally drop off in 12 months anyway  :P

    Great pics Chunky....

Do you have any idea how old that car was?

Just out of interest, as the wear and tear on the exhaust system looks interesting...  :)

its just surface rust, itll stay like that for years.

you hardly ever if at all see an exhaust system fail on a fiat, i definately havent done one inside warranty, and i think the most recent ive done that i can remeber is 04 plate, and that had been sat around for a long time.

    I agree Chunky,

My Fiat exhaust looks like that now and it is a couple of years old. Just wondered as I haven't had the car since it was new, was the wear and tear factor more of an issue here.  :)

When you get under the car it's really obvious where the jacking points are, even if the arrows on the skirts don't line up properly with them  ::)

Wow, that was really helpful  ::)

Thanks DraigFlag, exactly what I was looking for  :thumb:

I was shocked last week when I tried to use the standard 500 jack from my sisters car, and it hits the sill before it even begins jacking up! Also found out the marks on the sill that my car came with, correspond to where my sisters jack was about to line up with the outside of the sill *doh*

The long planks are 800mm long and 150mm wide. Obviously the frame also has 3 settings on width. what do you guys think.

on my 2015, 595 Competizione 180 the sills have an arrow at the front and rear to show where the jacking points are.  I used them at the weekend with a 2 tonne hydraulic jack from Halfords and no issues at all.  There was barley a couple of mm clearance from the plastic sills but clearance there was  ;D

Hi guys, for a simple fix why don't you drive the car so the tyres are sat on a plank for example to give you that little bit of extra clearance to get a trolley jack under.
    Cheers PJ

This will only help with getting a non-low-entry jack under the car. The distance between the jack point and sill will remain the same even if you drive the car on planks. The solution is to use a piece of wood on the jack to get the clearance from the plastic sill needed.

I found it impossible to jack the car from the rear jacking point while still leaving space to place axle stands without removing the plastic undertrays so I carefully placed a long plank (~1m) along the rear axle and jacked carefully from its middle, then resting the car on the axle stands placed on the rear jacking points. Just make sure you position the plank below the rear axle carefully as the axle has a protrusion and doesn't have a surface parallel to the ground.

    No issues  :thumb:
