Will change with your driving style, say after a section of heavy acceleration the mileage will obviously drop, mine stays fairly accurate if i'm cruising at 70-80. Stop start traffic makes it difficult to with the fluctuating mpg

The range is never accurate. It more or less tells you roughly but yes it does change depending on your driving style

Range guage will definitely jump around just after a fill up. In the early miles of the predicted range, the driving style adopted, getting stuck in traffic etc will have a disproportionate effect on the reading as the software has only had very little 'sampling' to work on so tends to assume that whatever consumption you are doing at the time will be the same for the whole tank!!  As you tot up the miles on that tankful, the averaging of many more 'samplings' should see the range reading settle down to much smaller differences between readings shown.

I can cotinue driving for about 25 miles after the range is showing '--'.
When I fill up to the brim I can then get about 35.5 litres in the tank.  I only adopt this practice as I'll be driving the 5 miles home.  I would NEVER do this and then leave the car without covering some distance, as the fuel may expand and cause spillage.
