TMC Tuning gone off?
« on: October 16, 2017, 11:39:44 pm »
Hi all,

I have just had an absolute appauling dealing with TMC Motorsport over the last 3 weeks, and even more to that, my last two purchases. I was wondering if anyone else has had the same issue?

I've always had fantastic dealings with Daron there and he has always been more than happy to go out of his way to help out and let me know what's going on.

This last dealings I have had I've seen 180 degree turn around, I had ordered a mouse pad, simple enough. After checking out and getting the customary screen of "A confirmation email will be sent to you shortly" or something along those lines, I had nothing.

I am now looking for a new parts supplier moving forward because of a tw*t who isn't following basics of selling stuff online. Just  wondering if anyone else has had issues with TMC of late, and who is an alternate for parts online?

I've also had bad dealings with them...

I ordered a set of number plate surrounds, nothing amazing. Paid online and was also told I'd receive a confirmation email, and be informed when they were dispatched.

A week later I'd heard nothing, so I contacted them to be told that they didn't carry any stock and they'd need to be ordered in. They would be in that week and posted out to me next day.

Two weeks on and I'd received and heard nothing, so again I contacted them and was told that their supplier was struggling to source the plate surrounds, and that they'd be a bit longer.

I contacted them again, and was told that they did indeed have the plate surrounds, however they now had to find a company who could print on the officiale abarth lettering and graphics on the bottom.

Finally I received the plates over a month later, and the printed graphics rubbed off in two areas the first time I washed the car!

Needless to say TMC will never be getting any of my money again. As a customer, I shouldn't need to chase my order, this is 2017 and online shopping isn't hard, I even run an online store and treat all orders how I'd like to be treated myself. Basic rule of good business practise.

Also, I feel that the fact they keep no stock is very poor. Your effectively paying the middle man to re-post an item after they've added their bit to the price. You may as well order from the supplier themselves.

Funny you say this, As I said in the opening post, this is almost exactly what happened with me. Nothing for two weeks, then I would contact them, they'd say it'd be posted out on Monday the following week, hey presto, nothing. Another week and then they advise me that they posted it on Friday the previous week (After the monday/tuesday they were supposed to). I asked for a receipt and tracking advice and got nothing but a fight and explanation of how there is a cyclone going through Ireland at the moment and peoples lives are at risk to get a tracking number.....

Had they said "Im really sorry about the stuff up, we have a bad cyclone going on over here at the moment, I'll get tracking for you in a few days" I would've been fine, instead I got "Im not going to risk someones life just to get you a tracking number"

It is crazy, honestly, when I first delt with them, they were fantastic, really on the ball and great to talk too. Full of advice etc, its a shame to see that they've gone this way. I am really hoping for a turn around in attitude.

Do you know who else to go through to get parts?
