I personally wouldn't want to run nitrous through the standard M32 gearbox, it's not the strongest box in the world - especially when put under random bursts of power..

Plus insurance companies get mighty twitchy when you mention Nitrous!

As I've said before, your first barrier is going to be the gearbox - you need a third change before you hit 60. This is the thing that slows you down.

Edit: Plus, realistically, how many times do you actually do a 0-60 sprint?  I don't even think I did once in the time I had my SS

Daily family car + Nitrous... ???

To be quite honest, the AGP isn't a fast car and it certainly isn't a family car. You can't really improve the 0-60 on it without changing the box or stripping it considerably. The amount of money you'd spend making it faster really isn't worth it, in my opinion, of course.

Instead, why don't you sell the AGP and buy something which is more family orientated and has tuning potential. Things like an Octavia VRS spring to mind. Can pick up clean examples for around £7k and with £500 worth of tuning you'll have 250bhp. Should be quicker to 60 than the AGP and have far more grunt in general.

    Just a thought.

    I'd second this.

One of the guys I work with has just got his Octavia VRS back after leaving it with AmD for a week... It now has 360bhp and the DSG gearbox has been out, LSD fitted and mapped.

It pops, bangs and whooshes like a touring car, yet he uses it as his daily driver and even has his kids seat in the front :)

    Well, technically, you're driving a FIAT ;)

There's other cars out there if you're bothered about the badge that much. But just thought I'd mention it as it seems like you want a fair bit more power without compromising the family-use of the car. Either way, sticking with Abarth isn't a bad idea!

Nothing wrong with buying a Skoda, they're really rather good cars..

Remember that the Punto has more in common with a Vauxhall Corsa than the rest of the Fiat fleet.. It's all relative really :)

Yeh but you know when driving down the high street and you catch a glimpse of yourself in a shop window reflection and you think, yeh that looks good? I know everyone over the age of 17 thinks you look like a prat but in a Skoda I'd be thinking that looks... well umm... well nothing and no one else would even notice. I'd fall asleep with boredom at the whole thing and that's dangerous.

The AGP has just about everything I want in a car for the price, I like small cars, I like how it feels like a go-cart, I like all the extras, I like bragging that I have a rare Italian sports car :) I just need an extra half second off the 0-60.
