Abarth engine in to fiorino
« on: February 28, 2013, 11:06:48 pm »
Alright guys I posted a hello in the newbie section along with the same question but just incase some folk didnt look in that section.
Got a modded new shape fiat fiorino van and have the chance of getting an abarth grande punto engine.im struggling gearbox wise as its not for sale with the engine, wondering what options would fit on to the engine.i know the corsa vxr has an m32 box also but I beleave there are a few versions of the casing.fiorino is same chassis as corsa d/punto grande and looking at it the drivers engine mount should line up just gearbox advice if anybody can help.

Have you physically had a look under both vehicles?

Find some exploded assembly diagrams, that might show some variance in the geometry (remember the load capacity of commercial vehicles is higher, the front suspension and components may have be stiffened as a result.)

That doesn't really help with the gearbox question though, what about a bravo 155 gearbox? might be cheaper and easier to find.
