Abarth Grande Punto 2009 wheel spacers
« on: May 06, 2012, 12:42:03 pm »
I'm thinking my Abarth Punto would look a bit better if there wasn't quite the overhang from the wheel arch, especially on the back. Can anyone recommend a wheel spacer, back and front, thickness and what looks best?

Thanks all

I must admit I've thought about it every now and then, the rear arch extensions do overshadow the wheels.

Saying that I don't think there have been many people doing it on the Punto, seems to be more of a 500 thing.

The rear of the Grande does dip quite a bit under load so you won't want to space them too much, no more than 6 or 8mm.

Might also be worth getting proper spaces machined with centre rings and using longer/stronger bolts

Thanks for that, 6-8mm hardly seems worth the effort and new set of wheels  is gonna cost, Think I might look at putting some larger tyres on, see if that makes it look any better. Might push out from the rim a bit more. Not sure how big I can go, got 205s on there at the mo.

They sent the wrong ones and the replacements would take 6 weeks so cancelled :(
