Abarth punto esseesse?
« on: October 15, 2015, 08:32:43 am »
Hello I'm new to this site but I've just bought a esseesse and I'm wanting to do a few thing to it but I'm wondering
What potential bhp does a abarth grande punto esseesse have?
And how would I get my esseesse to that?
Thanks
Ant

Heard of a few going to 220-230 bhp with a tuning box alone. Your car is certainly more tuneable than my old APE esseesse which was a nightmare due to the multi-air engine.

Most will suggest an upgrade to the intercooler, air intake, probably a full straight through exhaust or sports cat then a custom remap.

    Ahh right
Well it had a custom exhaust on it when I purchased it
I'm gunna get a intercooler when I've decided which one to go with forge or air tech
But do you think it's worth getting a induction when it allready has a bmc panel filter?
    And cheers for answering   ;D

Personally I think the BMC panel filter is the best option. Some opt for cone filters and the likes but this is purely for noise and usually you lose a few ponies through them. Is it a full custom exhaust from the manifold back or just a backbox? For the full benefits you will want a full stainless system with a de-cat.

Right I'll probably keep my bmc then  ;D
And I just need to a decat pipe, are they worth getting?

Going from what I have heard yes. Just be aware its not legal with regards to your MOT etc and would be required to change back to the cat system with each MOT.
