Air Filters / Induction kits
« on: January 17, 2009, 10:51:18 pm »
Anyone know if the filter etc is the same as the T-jet..

I want to get an induction kit from K&N (part number 57-0679) but need to know if it is the same and will fit!!! Should free up the airflo a wee bit..

It has a BMC as standard doesnt it? Or is that just the SS? If it does have one as standard i wouldnt bother wasting your money on a K n N it wont make any noticeable difference.

    This is somewhat off topic.

I fitted a K & N kit to my wife's SportKa this morning. It's also got a MillTek cat back on it.

Don't know what it sounds like outside, but from the inside a TVR driver would be proud of it. :thumb:

I'm still a bit sceptical about the use of GSR induction KIT on Abarth since its an open system. I know the engine bay in Abarth gets really hot. But I adore the sound! Can anyone tell me why this system would be better to fit than the closed ones?

It gets it air from the bottom of the engine bay. GSR spents hundreds of hour with different placement of the filter finding where it would get the best air flow and pick up the best cold air. Its made a massive difference on my Tjet which is the same engine just a different turbo. Mine just with the induction and remap is now putting out 152bhp and 183lb ft of torque.
