Alfa Romeo Mito electronic dampers
« on: April 06, 2021, 11:27:58 pm »
We currently have a 2011 Alfa Romeo Mito in at the bodyshop I work in, which has the Multiair T-Jet and also I notice, front & rear electronic dampers, the ride of which is selectable by means of a 'D-N-A' switch above the gear lever. I was wondering if anyone's ever tried fitting these to an Abarth Grande Punto? (I gather the Mito shares the same chassis as a Grande Punto, so many parts are interchangeable).

Also, is Fiat 500 and AGP suspension interchangeable?

Unfortunately there are very few Abarth Grande Puntos about so answers maybe few and far between. :thumbd:

I'll try to answer your questions.

The Grande Punto and Mito share the same chassis with the Vauxhall Corsa of the same years.
I would imagine the 170 Mito dampers would fit the GPA but as to the DNA adjustable bit working on the GPA ???
I seem to remember when the 170 Mito came out it was just the rear dampers that were DNA adjustable.

The chassis including suspension on the A500 is Panda based and is different to the Fiat/Vauxhall chassis so parts will probably not interchange.
Even the wheel specs are different, 500 are 4x98, GPA/Mito are 4x100

Thanks for the reply, and for highlighting some differences between the 500 and AGP, which I wasn't aware of (though I knew about the Corsa D similarities).

Another thing I just noticed is that Corsa D VXR have 5-stud wheel fitment; would the hubs fit on an AGP?
